What Could Just 50% You Do?

When I'm close to burnout from working 12 days straight...

everything feels like a mountain to climb, sometimes literally.

This question recently that sot me thinking stuck with me:What would a disciplined version of you accomplish at 50%

We don't expect to be our best, obviously. Instead establish a baseline when you’re tired and output is running on fumes.

Here’s what that looks like for me, in 3 easy steps:

1. Clear my desk.

I cannot focus if I’m visually fighting clutter. If my workspace feels chaotic, my thinking usually follows.

2. Cut my plan in half (if not more)

If I planned a full workout, I walk for 15 minutes. If I planned several deep work tasks, I pick the 1 or 2 that keep progress moving.

3. Hash out some creative work**

If I have some ideas but no physical fuel, I work on something creative that excites me, like a graphic idea or content concept that has been sitting on the back burner, or in my phone notes. I know you have them, too.

**I only suggest you do this if urgent priorities are handled.

I’ve learned burnout rarely disappears by pushing harder. Sometimes it fades when you protect a simple, repeatable baseline that keeps momentum alive.

Disciplined at 50% still moves you forward.

UPDATES:

Studio 3.0 is coming along! We've been working on some really cool updates in the studio this month, here's a couple photos of the new studio that's planning to be installed in the next couple weeks!! These are the halves to be built together once moved into the house.

I'd love to hear what creative ways you overcome burnout, verge-of-burnout, and if you try this out, how did it go?
If you'd like to chat about an upcoming project and looking for talent (on/off camera), let me know!

Have a great weekend!
